S8 ch. 3

Another episode of my life has come.

Eto na, another love life episode? Will i make the same mistake. Will i fall and just find out that no one’s gonna catch me. Mac, Dee, and Mark. Ok. Si Mark, alam qng flirt lng tlga un at nglalambing ba. And siya talaga una k0ng ngs2han wen i arrived at Turbo. And he’s still repeating the same script he’d said to me the first time we met sa mei elevator, “Mark nga pala (sby abot ng kamay to shake hands with me”. Pero this time, for the fourth time na yata, biglang mgbbutt in si Dee and will say something along the lines na parang ayaw niyang pumuporma si Mark to me (which i’m keeping in mind na it’s just a whole-lot-hell-of-a-joke). Xmpre, ako mgugustuhan ni Dee? How?! Why?! And, lastly, don’t bother to think about it anyway.

MeloDee

That’s how they combined my name and Dee’s name. Well, take it as humorous na lang. Pampatanggal antok lang, dba? Ayan, they know na. All of the Turbo Bells alam na yata. Matapos ang issue with Lei, eto namang sa akin. I’m thinking of giving up, but No! I won’t do that. I’ll wait til i become a probi. And in fact, i’m loving what i’m doing. Kaso, mukang mer0n ngang something bad going on with Dee. Don’t rely on that. He’s just playing games with me.

At eto pang isa, si Mac, Gilden Cardona. Aun, he’s also playing games with me. And if he wanted that, i’ll give him what he deserves. Ok, there’s the fact na magpapakatotoo ako taz lolokohin lng pala ako dba? What a waste of time building rapport with him.

As much as i wanted, i don’t want to be involved with these kind of relationships.

KISMET.

Yun nga siguro yun,
“You’d never know what’s coming for you”—The curious case of Benjamin Button

I really don’t know what coming for me, but i’m hoping that it’ll be a good future. A future filled with hopes and success, just like what is said in the Book of Jeremiah.

And so, i finally have gotten over sa super duper past relationship ko and ayan, there’s a whole lot of things about life that’s bothering me again. It’s like dejavu.

Kunsabagay, the world just go round and round. Learn from the mistakes of the past. But what’s even better is learning the mistakes even if you don’t experience it yourself– doing things right on the first time pa lang. Pero me tao bang ganun? Hope i’ll meet him someday. :)

S8 ch. 2

November 27, 2010–

Ok. I did it again. This time, it’s me who got out of control. I told them i like Dee, and i really like him na nga talaga yata. Before, si Mark ang laging nasa isip ko dahil he’s so mysterious to me. Pero ngaun, si Dee naman. Sakto pang nakipag-palit ng upuan si Anne sa akin. So aun, i’m in between the two. Eh ano naman, Do they like me too? O it’s just me who’s fooling myself again? Making it hard to think things over? Si Raymond naman, parang inuudyukan pa ni Anne na magka-issue about me. Ayoko. Ok. He’s not my type kung sakali. And this is just infatuation. Usapang lasing lang naman yun. Kanila Anne pa tuloy ako napa-tulog. Tas dumating pa boyfriend niya, nahihiya tuloy ako. So next time, if ever, i know na what to do. Be a good girl! Just like what it says here on my phone theme, “i’ll never love again!”.

Pati yata buong love life ko e knwento ko na to them. As in.

Well, i really need God’s guidance about this.

Sira na agad yung high heels ko!

Book Review: Queen of Babble Gets Hitched by Meg Cabot

“…the girl i’ve finally realized i’ve always been in love with… who i was beginning to think just might love me back, turned around and got herself engaged to my best friend who, frankly, doesn’t deserve her…”

After being engaged to Luke on New Year’s day, Lizzie is haunted by Chaz’s words that she’d done something wrong, and so as her other friends and even Grandma do so disagree.

She is left to manage Chez Henri alone, forcing her to hire people to help her, that includes Tiffany, her co-receptionist at the Pendergast, Loughlin, and Flynn. She has worked on Ava Geck’s wedding gown, though unfortunately has been called off, and became friends but because of the paparazzi-thing, she has been angry on Lizzie.

Six months later, she still can’t believe herself so confused between her fiance, who was she’s engaged with and his best friend, who doesn’t believe in marriage, saying it’s just a piece of paper. Luke has to go back to France and work for his uncle, leaving Lizzie with her friends. On the night of the Fourth of July, as she was speaking with Chaz about their feelings, her Mom had called saying that Grandma had died. This leaves poor Lizzie so emotionally stressed. On the first night back in Ann Arbor, Chaz came to comfort her on grief about her Grandma’s death. That’s a plus point for him because Luke doesn’t even bother to fly back and console her. Because of so many things that has happened between her and Chaz, she has decided to do the right thing. She loves him, and he loves her. But she can’t tell Luke about it. Although everyone else knows already, especially Late Grandma’s approving of their relationship. Even Chaz’s ex-girlfriend and her best friend, Shari knows all about their relationship. But what’s frankly worrying everybody is that Lizzie still doesn’t break up with Luke, although they said they had had a break when Luke went to France.

When Lizzie went back to work after her Grandma’s funeral, four days after, she’s so suprised to find out that the Henri’s have planned to sell the whole building and go back to Provence. Does this leaves her jobless again, nowhere to live, and having an unsuccessful career? Well, no of course. She talked about it first with Shari who made her upset by thinking she has already thought she told Luke of their break up. Then, it was Luke’s turn to call her and telling her to go to France and start her business there, but he told him she’ll still think about it as she sees Chaz approaching her in front of Vera Wang’s flagship store. And remembers Ava Geck once again and calls at her to begin her business offer with the Geck’s. So, Chaz went with her and with Ava’s suggestions, they had closed the deal with Ava’s dad, making affordable wedding gowns and other wedding dresses for bridesmaids and other wedding attendees.

After coming from the meeting with Ava’s dad that night, she’s surprised to find that the lights of her apartment were on, only to see Luke, which should be in France. He said he wanted to personally comfort her of her job loss (but has hasn’t come when her Grandma died, right?). Well, that night, Lizzie finally broke up with him. But he told her to keep the ring. Their break up has been so easy, and that made her suspecting. So when he called for Chaz to come right after Luke has left, Chaz has told her about Luke’s back stabbing her with some girls from his class. And as he told her this, and confirms when he calls Luke, she realized she doesn’t feel angry on him or anything. So that leaves her and Chaz freely together.

Lizzie has decided that she can maybe buy the Henri’s building and pay them within five years, and they agreed, saving her employees and having her own LiZzie Nichols Designs shop.

After six months, the story unfolds at Tiffany’s wedding with his boyfriend Raoul, even if she were four months pregnant at that time. When the wedding was done, Chaz shows Lizzie an envelope where a paper on What You Need To Know to Apply for a Marriage License is enclosed. They decided to marry at a later time which only the both of them knows, they’ll just tell the others when they ask. And for Luke, maybe after two years, according to Charles Pendergast the Third.

Reaction:

Wow. I finally get to read the third sequel of the Queen of Babble! The story got my mind really thinking hard. Was Lizzie really so bad on the Bad Girl Scale? Is Chaz really in love with her? Is it true that Luke is too good, too perfect to be the right guy for her? Well, i thought that things will work out between Lizzie and Luke but that’s the way Meg Cabot has written it. But i’m satisfied with the story because Lizzie was justified by the fact that Luke cheated on her. Well, that really sucks. And yet, Chaz is still there for her, although he didn’t tell Lizzie all Luke’s foul in the beginning, which is just other girls. He wanted Lizzie to realize that it is him whom she love, without any furthermore reason, not just because Luke cheated on her. In the end, it is revealed that Chaz doesn’t really hate the thought of marriage, it is just the wedding. And i’m happy for the both of them, really. And now, i wanted to get back what i have written about finding someone like Luke on my post on my review of Queen of Babble In The Big City. Ok, i’ll get it back. Ha ha. I wanted someone who’ll gonna give me beard burn just like what Lizzie got from Chaz… kidding! I want someone who will persevere to make me want to realize that his love for me is real and will show me and let me feel that i love him, too. How touching! Sweet. :-)

Book Review: Dear John by Nicholas Sparks

Characters:

John Tyree
Savannah Lynn Curtis

Plot:

She was a mountain girl, gifted and sweet, raised by attentive parents, with a desire to help those in need; he was a tattooed army grunt, hard around the edges, and largely a stranger to his own home.

They fell in love together almost only a week when he’s home for vacation when she met her at the beach. They confessed their love for each other when she brought him to see the house that they are building for the Hurricane victims. He brought her to special places to eat and walk at the beach while planning on how they’ll keep in touch in spite of the distance between them. When he took a vacation the next year, she introduced him to her parents and the time was so fast yet their days together are only few. They made love, had quarrel, and planned for marriage when he returns.

September 11 bombing had happened and he took another two-year service for the army. Exchange of letters between Savannah and him began to gradually skip a day or two. Neither did she mention how she feels about how she can’t see him because of the incident. When one day, he got a letter from her saying something about breaking up, and that’s how he got hurt so much. His dad got sick and that’s how he began to build friendship with him even though he knows that his father’s passion for coins were the only ones he can talk about well with him. When according to Savannah, his dad is suffering Asperger’s, routinely actions. That makes him feel almost well in spite of his condition. Six weeks after he returned to Germany, his father died. He returned for the funeral and decided to let the attorney sell the house.

He went to Lenoir, deciding to see Savannah again. He found a way to know where she now lives. It’s a ranch with title about “Hope and Horses”. He got to see her again, and she was suprised. He noticed that she now have a wedding ring, and knew that it was Tim, the guy way back before when he met her at the beach in Wilmington. He was a good guy. Maybe a lot better than him. But it was obvious that they still love each other. She asked him to go back the next day to meet her husband, and so he did. He just didn’t expected that he’ll meet him at the hospital. He was diagnosed for Melanoma, a poor guy. John knew that Tim love Savannah so much. That’s why he decided to sell the coin collection of his father to donate and help Tim in his diagnosis, but it has been anonymous to the couple.

As John, behind the darkness, watched Savannah outside the ranch, he saw her look at the full moon so intently like what they promised each other long ago. And that made him feel like they were together again.

Reaction:

This is another book by Nicholas Sparks that made me cry, the last song is the first one of course. I expected them to break up in the end because of what was said in the prologue. And i was proven right during the latter part of the story. It was just so realistic. Time is what was lacking in their relationship, although they keep in touch by writing each other. They haven’t seen each other for years, and so she finds comfort with her friend, who she’s also consoling for the loss of his parents. Tim’s character was not villainous and he played a very nice role in the story. He’s been kind to John when Savannah and John went out together during their days. But John knew that Tim has a special feeling for her even before. Well, all i can say is that she must have waited for him for he truly loves her. I mean, who on Earth will do that?, considering the distance and the war? Ok. It’s really a tearjerker and the story makes me want to read continuously up until the end, although most all of the time it was John who narrates the whole events of the scene. Is he for real? I wanna find someone like him, ok cliche.

I Love It! :-)

Book Review: Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot

Main Characters:

.Elizabeth “Lizzie” Nichols
.Jean-Luc “Luke” de Villiers
.Shari Dennis
.Charles “Chaz” Pendergast the Third
.Andrew “Andy” Marshall

Plot:

Queen of Babble tells the story of young Fashion History “graduate”, Lizzie Nichols. She went to England to reunite with her boyfriend who turns out to be a government fraud, which she doesn’t like. So, she goes away to France to be with her friends, Shari and Chaz. While on her way, she sat by a man whom which she told her experiences with her past boyfriends and the you-know-what thing she wanted back, thinking she’ll never see this stranger anymore. But just as she got off at her stop, this stranger admits that he’s her host, Luke.

Luke turns up to have a girlfriend, Dominique, who spends alot of money for her glams. She helps prepare for the wedding, and as Monsieur de Villiers showed her his vineyard, she gets to like the place, Chateau Mirac. He was praised by Luke’s father on how she loves vintage clothes that’s why look gets to show her to the attic where she then finds a stained long dress that has been wrapped for a hunting rifle. She refurbished it and was glad she did it.

Right before the wedding day happen, the bride, Luke’s cousin Victoria, had a problem with her gown. It got alot of laces, it’s as if she was just covered with laces. Lizzie, who have been heard to be good in sewing, was asked to make it look better. She did her best, but then in the morning when Vicky came, she was so happy that she has found the Givenchi gown and the bride chose this over the other one. It turns out to be that that gown was Luke’s mother’s. And because of that, Luke’s dad and mom became ok again together.

Right after the wedding, when it was time for the band to play, the lead singer was no where to be found, and later then was known who runaway with Luke’s ex-girlfriend. That’s the reason why Lizzie and Luke got to be together.

This story goes like the way Sophie Kinsella’s Can You Keep a Secret?. Both protagonist have met a stranger to whom they tell their life’s secrets. And both ends up being together with the man they met.

My next review will be about Queen of Babble’s sequel, Queen of Babble in The Big City. :-)

Book Review: Can You Keep A Secret by Sophie Kinsella

Emma Corrigan, a marketing assistant at the Panther Cola Company was sent to Scotland to have a meeting with one of their company’s business partner. Wanting to be promoted and make her parents proud of her, she, however, messed up the whole event. When she’s about to go back to London, she was secretly upgraded by the stewardess to take the business class flight. There he sat with a guy whom she thinks is uninterested with her. When suddenly, the plane met a disturbance and was likely to crash. She was panicking so much that she blurted out all her secrets to him, from what had happened on her meeting to her deeply hidden secrets about her sex life with her boyfriend, Connor. All of those things, which she didn’t think will come out, was told to this one guy, whom she thinks, she will never meet ever again.

She’s suprised when she say this man, and was even more suprised when she finds out that this man, Jack Harper, is the owner of the company she’s working for. Every now and then, she is summoned to speak with him. They agreed to keep their secrets together and eventually got even more special to each other. Emma’s boyfriend also works for Panther, and is really excited to meet Jack, wanting to give his best efforts for the company, he is on the Research Department. Emma broke up with him and he is suspecting that she has another man, and he keeps guessing who it is until Jack is interviewed on TV. Who along his interview about Panther’s target market, he got to described and tell the secrets that Emma has told him on the plane. Their relationship was known and everyone in the company verifies if it is really her. Not even in the company, but so as her family and her flatmates have watched the interview. She thinks that all the people in the world already know her secrets. It has brought her alot of stress so she went home early. Jack apologizes, as she wonders how he could have remembered all those things, every detail that she had said to him. And he told her that he ‘was gripped’ by her. They never talked about love but it was the words that meant alot, especially it came from him. He told her that everyone who teases her, he will fire. But that doesn’t end there. Because Emma’s flat mates, Jemimah and Lissy keep on planning how to revenge on Jack. They keep on thinking if he ever has one secret that can ruin him and avenge on what he has done to their friend. Emma asked them to stop but Jemimah didn’t keep her promise and at Lissy’s recital concert, she has brought a tabloid reporter to interview Emma. Jack sees them and walked out when he thinks that Emma’s giving away his secret.

Before the day ended, Jack went back to the auditorium and has forgiven Emma. She told him that she’s not told them why he really is at Scotland that day. And so, he told her even more funny secrets about him and they were together again at the end of the day.

This is a funny romantic novel. Knowing that the protagonist is a trying hard marketing employee who hopes for a promoting, she represents almost all other real life office people. Of course, each of us has secrets which only one or two people know, but there are some who we just wanted to keep to ourselves. Finding true love through honesty and being true to oneself was what happened here in this story. I enjoyed reading it and it took me just about two or three days to finish it. Of course i needed to do my chores first. :-)

Book Review: The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

The story began on a summer trip going to Wilmington, North Carolina with Ronnie, and Jonah in a car that their mother have been driving just to drop them off to spend their summer with their dad. Ronnie doesn’t really want to stay there for the fact that she wasn’t in good terms with her dad. She even quitted playing the piano, their father-daughter activity. The reason is that their dad left them a year or two ago. Their parents had divorced and the children are left with Kim.

When she arrived at the place, she wonders around just to stay away from her dad until she bumped into this gorgeous young man who played volleyball that spilled her soda on her shirt. It wasn’t really a good moment to meet someone like that but it happened again with her first friend, who calls herself Blaze. This girl helped her spend her time at the beach but it didn’t went well, especially when Marcus and his two friends are doing their thing with fire. It’s like they like fire so much. Making it into fireballs and juggle them to entertain people and make money.

Ok. So Ronnie spent her time with them but Marcus became interested on her and Blaze didn’t like that so she set up a plan, Ronnie looked like she stole ve that sent Ronnie on court. It wasn’t good at all especially when she has got shoplifting cases before, but those are all have acquitted.

So she hasn’t got any more friends. That’s when Will became close to her when she discovered a loggerhead’s nest at their backyard, and that’s also when she’s beginning to talk to her dad without beginning a fight. At first, Ronnie wasn’t really liking him, thinking that it’s just a summer fling. But to Will, it’s a serious thing. He had a two-year girlfriend, Ashley, but he find Ronnie so different from her. He finds her tough and soft at the same time.

They spend their time, fishing and visiting the Aquarium, mudding, guarding the turtle’s nest, and have attended Will’s sister’s wedding, although Marcus has caused another trouble there.

By that time, they cooled off because Ronnie thinks that it’s better for them to be apart because eventually, by the end of summer, Will is going to Vanderbilt to go to college.

The day after the wedding is the volleyball competition and Will can’t concentrate because of what happened between them. But later that day, Ronnie came and made everything ok again. But something went wrong with Marcus’s acts, bringing Blaze into fire. They sent her to the hospital which made her tell the truth that it was her who put the Cd’s into Ronnie’s bag.

When it was time for the turtle eggs to hatch, a lot of people went to see it happen. After that, Ronnie’s dad had been sent to the hospital and that’s when the children found out that their dad is suffering from cancer.

Will has left Ronnie to go to Vanderbilt just like what his parents want. Ronnie’s brother, Jonah, went back to New York because their mother was really supposed to get them back by the end of Summer but Ronnie stayed. She stayed, knowing that he needed him now.

I was really moved by this story. Tears keep flowing as I read the lines that described how much Ronnie feels about his dad, three years they’ve been apart, and they just recently get well along. But in spite Ronnie’s effort of taking care of him, he died one winter day. But before he died, Ronnie knew that he was happy, because she had finished their last song together. :-)

Why i don’t have a boyfriend… RIGHT NOW?!

I had been in two relationships before. Okay.,
The first one lasted for almost 30 months (only 6 months to go before the supposed-to-be 3 years), while the second one was just for only a month.. And that second one gave me the most hurting feeling i’d ever felt!

I thought that “First love never dies!”… Well, i was wrong. It died. And i never even think of it to happen. How ironic. I’d left my first boyfriend for him and he just left me like that?

I don’t have a boyfriend right now because…

1. I am afraid to fall in love again… And…
2. I’m afraid to get hurt once more…

One is enough, Two is too much… Three is a poison that can kill a person…
